Greetings Miles City School District Families.
We are excited to welcome your students back into our buildings next week. As we make final preparations for the return of school, we are also making adjustments to ensure compliance with the Boil Water Order and more importantly ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff is paramount. As a District, all water fountains will be disabled until we are given the clear to resume using them. Because of this, we are asking parents to send their students to school with a water bottle(s) so that they can stay hydrated throughout the day. Bottles should be discarded or taken home at the end of each school day. We request students continue bringing water daily until the Boil Order is lifted. We will have a limited supply of bottled water on hand for those that come without water. In consultation with those entities working to resolve the water issue, we have been informed that bathroom sinks can remain on and in use for hand washing purposes and that locker rooms can remain in use for showering. As an additional precaution, the District will serve all meals on disposable trays and with disposable silverware until the Boil Order is lifted. Bottled water will be available at meal time for those wishing water instead of milk. For more information regarding this Water Boil Order, please sign up for NIXLE updates by texting 59301 to 888777. The District does not have additional information to share regarding this matter. Thank you for your help. Comments are closed.
